March 21, 2025 – Member Update

We’re excited to share our latest update on the proposed merger of Conexus, Cornerstone, and Synergy Credit Unions. Your engagement and feedback continue to shape this journey, and we’re grateful for your support!

Where We Are Today

Your Voice Matters! Member & Employee Surveys

We recently conducted surveys with both members and employees through Sentis Research, an independent research firm. Here’s what we learned:

  • Our employees understand the value and positive impact a merger could bring and are excited to talk to you soon.
  • You, our members, have a high awareness of the proposed merger. You want more information on key topics such as the future of branches, community investment, local decision-making, and commitment to personalized service. These principles are at the heart of our credit unions and will continue to define us.

Your feedback has been shared with our Boards to ensure we focus on what matters to you. Thank you for your honest input

Competition Bureau Clearance – A Key Milestone Achieved
We’ve passed one regulatory milestone with clearance from the Competition Bureau.

What’s Next?

In early April, the business case will be presented to the Boards of each credit union. They will decide whether to formally recommend the proposed merger to members, leading to a member vote. If approved, you’ll receive various updates throughout April and May as we prepare to vote in June.

We encourage you to attend our upcoming AGMs! This is a great opportunity to ask questions, share your feedback, and join the conversation about the future of our credit union. For more details:
